Summary: We loved waking up in the morning and immediately seeing the ocean from nearly any window of the house. There was never sand in front of our house due to a week of high tide, but we had rented a golf cart and it was a short drive to drop all of the teens off on the beach. We also enjoyed watching the ships come in from the deck. The property was very clean and the check in/check out process was easy. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows for the futon. Bathrooms were nice and the furniture was comfortable. If the weather would’ve been warmer, I’m not sure the air conditioner would’ve kept the house cool. It seemed to be struggling. My only tip to future renters would be to bring kitchen garbage bags. There was only one bag and it wasn’t very strong. We loved this place and would highly recommend it to friends.

Summary: The location and house size were absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed the upper deck in the mornings and then evening time moved downstairs to picnic table area and played our outside games. The breeze from the ocean was consistent and very refreshing. I was really concerned about the jetty and the Brazos dumping into the sea so close with ships leaving and coming but, that ended up being one of the biggest events for the whole family to enjoy. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Summary: Breakers's Edge is a wonderful beach house. We especially enjoyed watching the cargo ships come in the channel while sitting on the front deck of the house. The home was very clean and spacious. We loved the three bedrooms with three bathrooms. The location of the home was near (10 -15 minutes) grocery stores and other shopping centers. We enjoyed it so much, we plan to return soon.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here. The view was excellent and being able to walk on the beach at sunrise and sunset was perfect. The house accommodated our family of four, there was plenty of room. The drawbacks- The water never really got hot for showers. Barely warm is the best way to describe it. The mirrors in the kids bathrooms were so high my 14 year old who is about 5’4” had to stand on her tip toes to see her face. The bed in the master bedroom- there was no footboard on the frame and so the frame stuck out. My husband knocked his shins multiple times and bloodied them. The tap water was digusting!! Don’t drink it!! Bring bottled water. The fact that no trash bags or even a starter roll of paper towels etc was a little frustrating. All in all- we did enjoy our stay, but would probably pick somewhere else if we come back to the area.

Summary: My final note to owner: “The TV’s haven’t worked the entire time; some problem with Xfinity perhaps. This wasn’t a big deal but might be to someone else because I brought other devices to get on Netflix etc. We didn’t get hot water in the master until Friday morning even though we tried since Wednesday night. The lack of any type of supplies made the cost of this property much less desirable. Didn’t get information until Thursday morning that the water was not good for making coffee or drinking. Overall the location is wonderful, but the lack of any hospitality items such as hand towels for the bathrooms, soap or kitchen towels- a starter roll of paper towels, A few bottles of water for the first morning, counter cleaning supplies even dishwasher supplies might have made the stay a little more pleasant. Appreciate the efforts made as the issues arose but the fact that efforts had to be made took away the true vacation aspect of the home. Just some thoughts for your future rentals.”

Summary: The house was clean and smelled fresh. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the washer and dryer were nice to have. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities of home. The repair man was quick and friendly and took care of the only issue we had right away. Check in was so easy and the view from the deck is amazing! We will definitely stay here again.
